desert imprint: intro to linocut (Tempe)

Beginner-friendly workshop to introduce participants to linocut printmaking and inspire their creativity through nature. Enjoy drawing, carving and printing in a relaxed atmosphere where participants can explore their artistic visions.

What to expect:

Participants will leave with a hand-carved stamp and up to three (3) prints based on their own connection to nature.

Students can choose to do a stamp based on existing deigns such as: a waterfall landscape, desert landscape or a design of your choice! The stamps will be a maximum size of 4"x6".

Class is limited to a maximum of six (6) students.

No experience is required. All supplies will be provided.

About linocut:

Linocut is a printmaking technique that involves carving a design into a piece of linoleum, applying ink to the carved surface, and then transferring the ink onto paper or paper.
